The Village of Marvin current tax rate is 5 cents per $100 assessed property value. Tax bills are typically mailed to homeowners and mortgage companies during the month of September of the current tax year.

Property tax payments are due and payable to Village of Marvin and delinquent if not paid in full by January 5 of the following year. (If the 5th falls on a weekend, the due date will be the Monday thereafter.) Our office will use the postmarked date on your payment envelope.
Tax Rates
Interest: Payments received after January 5th are delinquent and are subject to 2% interest penalty plus additional interest of ¾ of 1% on the first of each month thereafter until after January 5th.

Deadline: Property owners and mortgage companies will receive a second notice and final notice via mail, and also at least one follow-up telephone call until payment (including interest) has been paid in full.

Delinquent property owners are subject to publication of their names in the local newspaper and on the website, garnishment of wages, levy on personal property, and foreclosure proceedings

The Village of Marvin adopts a budget ordinance annually in the month of June. The Council has the ability to amend the budget throughout the year
