Marvin was incorporated on July 1, 1994 and is one of the fastest growing communities in North Carolina.
Marvin’s population is 6746 - certified by NC Office of State Budget and Management (as of July 1, 2017)
Marvin covers approximately 6 square miles.
Marvin is centrally located and easily accessible to major employment centers within Center City Charlotte, Ballantyne and South Park.
Marvin has strict zoning standards with a maximum of 86 housing units per 100 acres, except in cases of age-restricted communities.
Marvin values greenspace preservation through tree, stream and viewshed buffers.
Current tax rate is $.05 per $100 valuation, which is aligned with Union County's rate of $.7614 per $100 valuation.
