Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body that operates between the Village and the Courts. This Board meets on an as needed basis, usually four times a year. The purpose of the Board is to hear facts and evidence, then apply the established standard to that particular case. The Board of Adjustment is expected to comply with procedural rules closely akin to those of a trial court such as sworn testimony of witnesses, no hearsay evidence and cross examination of witnesses.
